The
TypePad team has been hard at work delivering great discovery, distribution and
community tools to our customers. These features will make it easier for our
bloggers, marketers and publishers to connect with their audiences both through
traditional blogging tools and with social media outlets.
TypePad
Search
Now you can add
built-in, integrated search to your blog with our native, blogside search
feature.
TypePad Search indexes all the content within a blog, so that readers can
search posts, pages and comments.
We developed
TypePad Search to be fully integrated into the design of your TypePad blog –
where the blog and search pages are one seamless experience. Being able to
search comments is also unique to TypePad’s blogside search feature as 3rd
party providers will not be able to access this content.
We've also made these
great search features available through our Search API for
developers to build upon the great content in TypePad.
APIs
Speaking of Search
API, there's a whole slew of APIs that we've made available for developers
interested in working with our platform.
In March,
we came out with Twitter and Twitpic compatible
APIs, which make it easy for existing Twitter and Twitpic clients (such as
mobile and desktop apps) to support TypePad.
We
followed up with our Blog APIs which
allow for reading and posting of content on TypePad blogs, and provides an
interface for client developers to interact with content stored on TypePad,
build new applications using TypePad as their social objects platform, and
leverage the scalability of TypePad's infrastructure.

Speaking...
For bloggers, marketers
and publishers, social media outreach lets you connect with more people, which
is why we’ve made social tools – like follow, favorite and re-blog – a big part
of the TypePad platform. We added the blogside toolbar,
connecting blog audiences with TypePad bloggers by making those viral features
just a click away.
But we want to
connect you with more than just the TypePad network! Knowing where
your readers are coming from can help you tailor your content for the right
audience. With Social Stats,
bloggers can now see traffic from referrers plus social media sources Facebook,
Twitter and Bit.ly. And most recently TypePad released deep
integration with Facebook's "Like" feature,
making it easier than ever to share your content over Facebook.
This powerful
feature can help drive awareness and traffic from Facebook to your blog. The
“Like” button also allows publishers and marketers to deliver a compelling
social web experience on branded sites without the design constraints of a
Facebook fan page. Just adding the Facebook “Like” button to your website or
blog integrates it with Facebook.
